CLARITY
Alpha Grading also known as “Grade A-AAA” is the most common grading system for gemstones. It is based on several qualities such as colour, cut, and clarity. The grading is not limited to these qualities but this is the most simplistic way of knowing how fine gemstones are.
AAA - “being near perfect” - The stones in this category show some variation in colour, cleanliness, cut and polish. It is sought out to be the most precious stones, cut is perfect, colour is vibrant.
AA - Semi clean, well cut and polished
A - Reasonably clean and well cut that will have some noticeable variations
